Managing References, Citations and Bibliographies in Microsoft Word

Video: https://youtu.be/1j9PCNe5ytE

I was asked by my daughter recently about managing references for her school essays and she was surprised to learn that there is a citation and referencing system built into Microsoft Word.

The Citations & Bibliography group on the References tab in Microsoft Word provides tools that let you build a list of sources using the requirements of various citation systems such as Harvard, the Chicago Manual of Style, the American Psychological Association’s (APA) style guide, and the Modern Language Association (MLA).

You can manage these sources, insert the citations into your document and automatically create a bibliography or a list of works cited.

I made this video for my daughter, but I hope it also helps you make use of this Microsoft Word feature.
